Traditional Ivory Wool Baby Shawl

Traditional Ivory Wool Baby Shawl

This beautiful wool baby shawl is a more modern take on our traditional heirloom baby shawls. Knitted in the heart of England from pure new Merino wool, it is beautifully soft and finished in a traditional off-white ivory colour.

Wonderfully warm, delicate and lightweight, our top-quality baby shawls are designed to be cherished for years to come if treated with care. These shawls make a thoughtful and practical gift to celebrate a new arrival.

  • Size: 112 x 112 cm (44 x 44 inches)
  • Composition: 100% Merino Wool
  • Origin: Made in England

Product Care

As part of the hand-finishing process, these shawls are washed with gentle products suitable for sensitive skin and are ready for immediate use.

Hand wash, using pure soap flakes or a wool-approved detergent like Woolskin wool wash. Let the shawl dry naturally, away from direct heat. Do not tumble-dry.

Due to the nature of our traditional hand-finished baby shawls, knitted using finest wool yarns, please hand-wash them in water up to 30°C.

Dry flat, away from direct sunlight and heat and never tumble-dry.

Note that the scalloped edges will naturally relax after washing. This is normal and does not detract from the quality of the product.

For a perfect finish, gently stretch out the scalloped edges, cover the shawl with an ironing cloth and press with a cool iron.

Avoid using 'regular or 'delicates' laundry detergents. Although rarely mentioned on the label, such detergents usually contain bleach, which damages wool. Look for detergents that are specifically advertised as safe for wool, not just delicates.
