Luxury Pashmina Shawl Mushroom
This luxurious cashmere pashmina shawl in muted khaki taupe is beautifully soft, warm and versatile. Finished with hand-twisted tassels and woven from fine Grade A cashmere, it’s perfect as a generous scarf, an elegant wrap for a formal occasion or even a cosy travel layer.
Large enough to snuggle under in the evening and light enough to wear every day, it adds warmth and texture without weight or bulk. These shawls are a real treat, softening further over time and becoming a constant companion you’ll want with you wherever you go. They are a firm favourite with many of our customers, who often return for more in different colours.
Each shawl is made only from the highly prized 'downy' undercoat of the Capra hircus, an ultra-soft fleece that is combed by hand from the chest and underbelly during the natural moulting season. This fine fleece is hand-spun and hand-woven in Nepal by skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques.
Each shawl is hand-dyed in Nepal, so there may be slight variations in tone from one piece to the next. If you're unsure about your colour choice, our team will be happy to offer guidance.

Origin & Sustainability
This shawl is made from the finest Grade A Pashmina, ethically sourced from free-roaming Himalayan goats and collected by hand during the natural moulting season. This beautifully dense weave is obtained by using four paddles in the weaving process. The Wool Company works directly with the makers to ensure exceptional standards — not only in sustainability, but also in quality. Each shawl is fully traceable from herder to garment.
Every fibre is hand-sorted by skilled experts to select only the longest and finest strands. These are then cleaned using eco-friendly methods that preserve the natural softness and strength of the fibre. Traditional techniques are combined with modern technology to deliver consistent quality and beautiful, lasting results — a fusion of heritage and precision.
Over 70% of the artisans involved are women from remote Himalayan communities. They receive fair wages, flexible hours and access to leadership and training opportunities in safe, supportive workshops that foster independence and connection.
Natural dyes and GRS-certified recycled cashmere reduce the environmental impact of these shawls, making every detail of these pieces both thoughtful and luxurious.
By choosing one of our shawls, you are supporting ethical, sustainable production that upholds traditional methods and supports the livelihoods of remote communities.
