Exclusive Sheepskin Throw Red
Exclusive to The Wool Company, this plush, vibrant dyed merino sheepskin rug is as versatile as it is luxurious.
Drape it over a chair or sofa, use it to soften a wooden floor, style it across a bed — or treat your furry friend to the nap spot of their dreams. Sourced from North American Merino crossbreeds, these sheepskins are extra large, covering roughly twice the area of a standard sheepskin.
The fleece has been expertly shorn to a practical 25mm, making it beautifully low-maintenance.
Watch: How we make sheepskin rugs
- Size: 115 x 70 cm.
- Composition: 100% Sheepskin
- Origin: Made in Great Britain
- Surprisingly silky soft
- Much larger than your average sheepskin
Product Care
These sumptuous merino sheepskins are surprisingly easy to care for. Usually a good shake and a brush with our Luxury Sheepskin Brush is all that's required to keep them looking gorgeous.
If necessary, spot cleaning is recommended, and they can be machine-washed with care at up to 30°C on a wool cycle, using a wool-safe detergent.
Allow to dry naturally. Machine washing may alter the finish slightly, as the polished (ironed) surface gives these sheepskins their silky softness.
As with all dyed sheepskins, some colour change may occur after washing.
They can also be professionally cleaned.
Origin & Sustainability
Merino sheep crossbreed from North America.
Tanned, dyed and hand-finished in the UK by Britain's last remaining traditional sheepskin tannery which has been using the same methods and on the same site for over 120 years.
