The yarn used for these socks is sourced from the alpaca, a South American member of the camel family closely related to the llama. They graze high up in the Andean mountains of Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia. Their fleece is extremely soft, silky and unexpectedly hard-wearing, making it the ideal material for our socks.
