Dartmoor Mohair Trekking Sock

Dartmoor Mohair Trekking Sock

We believe these mohair trekking socks are the warmest calf-length sock you will find, with a full terry loop through the whole sock. Created in England using mohair from young goats, our trekking socks are soft, comfortable and a real treat for your feet. Ideal for use in outdoor pursuits such as trekking or climbing, they also work just as well for gardening and dog walking.

Known as the “diamond fibre” for its resilience and durability, mohair is one of the world’s most practical luxury fibres. Its hollow structure makes it highly insulating, warming almost instantly when placed next to the skin, while its extraordinary wicking properties allow it to absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet.

Thanks to the smoothness of the mohair smooth fibre, it reduces chafing and offers greater blister resistance when worn in close-fitting boots. It is naturally hard-wearing, odour-resistant and antibacterial, meaning you can wear these socks for several days without discomfort or offensive odours. The perfect fibre for performance socks, mohair is warm, comfortable and durable.
