This 1000g (1kg) bag of pure British wool knot balls lets you customise the firmness of your pillow, cushion or craft project with ease. Add as much or as little as you like to create your perfect bespoke pillow — whether you prefer something soft and yielding or supportive and firm.
It’s the ideal companion to our 'low fill' 100% Wool Pillows, which are filled with 600 g of wool and feature a zipped side for easy adjustment. By adding wool filling you can transform your standard pillow into a firm-fill version, tailored exactly to your preference. You can also use this wool for replacing other fillings or topping up other cushions or for creative use in handmade toys and soft furnishings.
The wool is selected from white fleece of native British sheep, and has been double-scoured and carbonised in England to remove lanolin and debris. After this process, the wool is inspected again, and any remaining flecks of natural vegetable matter (or “VM”) are picked out by hand to ensure cleanliness and quality. The double scouring also reduces any residual “sheepy” smell, leaving the wool soft, fluffy and ready to use.
